School Games Regional Conference 2025
The School Games Regional Conferences 2025 will take place across four venues in November.
The Regional Conferences 2025 will build on the summer's National Summit and will respond to the key messages shared and developed on the day.
The regional conferences will aim to embed the connectivity and synergy of tackling inequalities, youth voice, and physical literacy, while supporting School Games networks to hone in on 'the why, the what and the how' for tackling inequalities and increasing daily activity, and how it relates to their local context.

Sessions and Workshops
You will be able to attend two sessions/workshops throughout the day. These workshops will cover the three pledges of the School Games: tackling inequalities, youth voice, and physical literacy. The full agenda for the day and in-depth overviews of each workshop are available.
You will be able to select your preferred workshops at the time of booking.
From Ignite to Unite: Strengthening Physical Literacy Practice with THRIVE
Participants will learn how SGOs have successfully engaged families, school staff, and community clubs to foster inclusive and meaningful movement experiences for young people. The workshop uses the THRIVE principles (based on the Physical Literacy Enactment Guide) and is highly interactive. Delegates will apply these principles directly in designing inclusive physical literacy experiences.
Inclusion Starts with Us: Creating Inclusive Environments for Young People with Young People
This session is co-designed and led with young people from Youth Sport Trust Lead Inclusion Schools. Delegates will participate in a youth-led discussion to explore accessible, enjoyable, and empowering experiences for all learners.
Empowering Youth Voice through Collaboration
(Please note that this session is a repeat of the session at Summit 2025.)
An introduction to youth voice, focused on co-design and building relationships between adults and young people, the workshop aims to foster confidence and collaboration in youth engagement.
The Art of Influencing: Preparing You for the Future
Workshop content encourages delegates to reflect on current engagement efforts and identify whose voices or perspectives may be missing, then build strategies to include them.
In Their Shoes: Applying Physical Literacy from the Perspective of Young People (or, In Their Shoes: Applying Physical Literacy through School Games Formats)
Led by NGBs, this practical workshop brings to life their new School Games formats to promote our understanding of how sport and physical activity can make us think, feel, move, connect, and develop positive experiences.
Addressing Inactivity in the School Day
(Please note that this session is a repeat of the session at Summit 2025.)
Using insights from over half a million data points from the Active School Planner and the Chief Medical Officer’s physical activity guidelines, this session explores current participation levels among young people, the impact on health and well-being, identifies the least active periods in the school day and presents strategies to integrate movement throughout the day.
Sharing Practice Networking
An opportunity to share practice with peers working in similar areas to you, discussing approaches to tackling inequalities and reducing inactivity. This session will focus on your key actions for the year and how you will know you are successful.
All SGOs will need to bring a copy of their Development Plan 25/26 to refer to in this session.
