Alverstoke Church of England Aided Junior School
Alverstoke Junior School is a Church of England Aided Junior School founded in 1842 and moved to its current location in the early 1970’s. The school is a popular and thriving school with high expectations of behaviour, standards and achievement.
We are situated close to the centre of the village of Alverstoke and just a short walk from Stokes Bay beach. The school occupies a large and attractive site which we are continually developing. There are playgrounds, fields, an outdoor swimming pool and an environmental area with a pond and woody walk which provide an opportunity for environmental investigations. We also have an activity trail and traversing wall for outdoor play and two outdoor classrooms for those less strenuous outdoor moments.
The school offers excellent facilities with interactive screens and visualisers in all teaching areas, a fully wireless network of laptops, netbooks and iPads and an outdoor learning facility.
