PE and School Sport is given a high profile and is positively integrated throughout the school. As well as offering a broad and balanced curriculum, pupils are encouraged to become actively engaged in extra-curricular opportunities, sports clubs and competition.
PESS Vision Statement
Scawby Academy believes that children should have a fun, positive experience of PE and sport which inspires them and fills them with the confidence to try new things. During their journey through school, they are encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles and are provided with many opportunities to improve themselves. Competition plays a major role in helping pupils learn the importance of determination, teamwork and respect.

Mr Foster told me and Reuben on Wednesday 24th January that there was a great opportunity for us to go to the Lincoln match on Saturday and commentate. I felt very happy and proud that I had been asked.
International Women’s Day #LetGirlsPlay
For International Women's Day our school took part in the #LetGirlsPlay campaign to get more girls excited about playing football. I was asked to be one of the leaders.

KS2 Panathlon Boccia
18th January 2024
A team consists of 3 -5 children with a maximum of 3 teams per schools. This event is for children who have SEND within a PE context or have low ability with a PE context. 3 children from each team can play at one time.
KS2 Panathlon Ten Pin Bowling
4th December 2023
A team of 6 students will be allocated a lane for their team to bowl. One game of bowling will be completed by each team. Bumpers and ramps will be permitted. All balls will be provided by the venue. Eligibility – any child on the SEND register including Deaf and Autistic children (other than children with Emotional and Behavioural challenges). Teams of 6 KS2 children. There is access for wheelchair users.
Quad Kids
6th June 2023
A team consists of 4 boys and 4 girls. Every athlete completes all events (50m, 400m, Vortex Howler Throw, Standing Long Jump, 8 x 50m Shuttle Relay). The top two teams will qualify to represent North Lincolnshire at the Humber School Games Finals to be held on 28 June 2023 at Costello Stadium, Hull.
