The School Games, which is funded by Sport England and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, involves funded School Games Organisers (SGOs) at a local level and Active Partnerships at a county level working alongside us to create an annual calendar of competition. We are the School Sports Partnership running the School Games for the Staffordshire Moorlands. Zoe Harp is the School Games Organiser, (SGO) and the host site for School Games is Biddulph High School.

Staffordshire Moorlands  School Games Area comprises of 64  Schools, located in Staffordshire between the city of Stoke-on-Trent and the Peak District National Park 

Our mission and vision

To put physical activity and competitive sport at the heart of schools, and provide more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.

The School Games will continue to make a clear and meaningful difference to the lives of even more children and young people.

How it works

The School Games events consist of four unique types of competition:

  • intra-school competitions
  • local inter-school competitions
  • county provision/offer
