Mandeville SGO Area

Established in 2004 the Mandeville School Sports Partnership supports primary and secondary schools to deliver an engaging PE curriculum and a comprehensive programme of sports specific and physical activity opportunities for their pupils. Through its School Games Organiser and team of School Sports Coordinators the Mandeville SSP provides over 60 sports specific and multi skill competitions, PE CPD for schools and leadership training for young leaders.

With schools reopening, but school life not yet back to normal we would like to invite schools to take part in our new Virtual School Games.  Each half term the team of Bucks & MK SGO will be "running" virtual competitions.  We will have School Games Area winners, 2nd and 3rd places with winning schools in each event being invited to represent the Mandeville SSP at the Level 3 School Games Finals*.

The general principle behind the Virtual School Games are that the competitions are an opportunity for all pupils to participate in the School Games, develop their own skills and achieve their personal best.  Whilst schools will only need to submit scores for their team, schools can run the competitions for whole classes within a PE lesson or over a number of PE lessons,  choosing team members as those with the highest scores.  Likewise, schools can just choose to run the competition with those children they have chosen to be part of their team.  For all events you can enter A, B & C teams.

Within school you can use the competitions and results for class v class competitions, house competitions and best individual score across a class or year group

As well as highlighting the winning teams we will also have an SSP leadership board to show school engagement and number of pupils taking part in the competitions within their own schools.

Information and entry forms for this term's competitions are below.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to your SGO [email protected]

*Given the ever changing situation regarding COVID-19 we are unable to confirm at this stage whether we will be able to hold  physical Level 3 School Games Finals and if so what this will look like. However, we do have plans in place for a virtual Level 3 Schools Games if we are unable to deliver a traditional event.
