Wye Valley SGO Area
In combination with the Marlow area we aim to provide sporting competition and opportunity for all those who wish to participate.
We provide sporting opportunity from year 3 to year 9 across all sports from football to ultimate frisbee. We try to coincide events where schools may teach them in their curriculum to boost participation. We also aim to run 1 or 2 events per week to keep participation at a high level through the school year.
Our vision involves keeping competitive sport at the heart of schools and providing more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.
With schools reopening, but school life not yet back to normal we would like to invite schools to take part in our new Virtual School Games. Each half term, the team of Bucks & MK SGO will be "running" virtual competitions. We will have School Games Area winners, 2nd and 3rd places with winning schools in each event being invited to represent the High Wycombe/Marlow area at the Level 3 School Games Finals taking place on 1st July 2020 at Stoke Mandeville Stadium (Physical event).
There are many benefits of participating in the Virtual School Games as a school. It gives your students an opportunity for all students to participate and represent the school while developing their own skills and achieving their personal best. PE Coordinators will be able to run the competition themselves for the whole class within a PE lesson while choosing team members with the highest scores or can be set as homework. This will also boost participation for your A, B and C teams too!
