England Athletics continue to explore creative ways in how we can support young people stay active and get back on ‘track’ as soon as possible through funetics – a programme which develops running, jumping and throwing skills for a healthy confident future (4 - 11 yr olds), with activities linked to cross-curriculum subjects Maths and English.
Activity: Individual or Group
Purpose of Activity: Increase pupils physical activity through attending Athletics summer holiday camps and developing fundamental skills in a fun way
Including all pupils: Think STEP for differentiation
Pupil Roles: Participant
Space: Outdoors - Ensure the space is suitable for athletics activities
Equipment: cones, markers, a range of throwing items
Any one wishing to offer these camps to children aged 12-17 years can do so, using the Athletics 365 resources and programme. The 2020 Manual will be update shortly to a new 2021 manual. for more information contact: [email protected]
