Quicksticks is a small-sided introduction to the game of hockey that can be played on any surface, using a lighter, larger and safer ball.

Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition
Including all pupils: STEP framework included
Pupil roles: Participant, leader, official
Space: Indoors/Outdoors - Ensure the space is suitable for small-sided games, a netball court would be ideal
Equipment: Quicksticks or hockey sticks, balls, bibs, throw-down markers or cones, goals and whistles
