Activity details

Standing long jump is an individual challenge that develops leg strength and power. 

  • Number of participants: Individual 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through an individual challenge 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant and leader 
  • Space: Indoors. Ensure the space is suitable to jump and land safely, away from obstructions such as walls 
  • Equipment: Standing long jump mat or markers and a tape measure
