Standing long jump is an individual challenge that develops leg strength and power.
- Number of participants: Individual
- Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through an individual challenge
- Including all pupils: STEP framework included
- Pupil roles: Participant and leader
- Space: Indoors. Ensure the space is suitable to jump and land safely, away from obstructions such as walls
- Equipment: Standing long jump mat or markers and a tape measure
