Activity details

Laps to Lapland is a fun and social Daily Mile activity, with pupils running, jogging, or moving at their own pace in the fresh air with friends, using a map to get their named reindeer to Lapland. 

The Daily Mile is an opportunity for extra physical activity, not a replacement of P.E.

  • Activity: Individual, pair, group
  • Purpose of Activity: Increase pupil physical activity through fun personal challenge
  • Including all pupils: Think STEP for differentiation
  • Pupil Roles: Participant, Leader
  • Space: Outdoors - ensure the space is suitable for pupils running, jogging, moving at the same time for 1 mile
  • Equipment: markers, Lapland map, stopwatch (optional)
