Activity details

Team batting is a challenging team game, developing pupils batting, catching, throwing, running and bowling skills in rounders. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: Ideas for differentiation included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, official 
  •  Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for the pitch dimensions, there must be sufficient space around the whole of the pitch as the ball will be hit in different directions 
  •  Equipment: Four posts and bases, four rounders bats and a ball
