Activity details

This mirroring activity is played in pairs with pupils copying their partner’s moves. Pupils can create shapes, mime words or stories. The Synchronise activity helps to develop body control, posture and stability all key in helping pupils concentrate and focus. 

  • Number of participants: Pairs 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil’s activity levels through slow controlled balances, movements and mime with partners mirroring the movements and working out the shapes, words or stories. 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included. 
  • Pupil roles: Participant 
  • Space: Indoors/Outdoors. Ensure there is enough space for pupils to travel ad move without bumping into each other. 
  • Equipment: Music, props to support story telling
