Activity details

Try handball is a simplified version of the game, which develops the skills of throwing and catching in relation to handball. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: Ideas for differentiation included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader, official 
  • Space: Indoors. Ensure the space is suitable for handball, an ideal court could be a 5 aside-football or hockey pitch or netball court where the 'D' can be used
  • Equipment: Size 1 or 2 handball or similar, two goals or tape on the wall and bibs
