Boccia Event on the 17th November

Mr Defoe, 29 Nov 2023

On Friday the 17th November, 12 students from years 3 and 4 were invited to Mark Hall to compete in a fun Boccia competition. Before we left, the excitement was evident as the children could not keep still and kept expressing their interest in representing Cooks Spinney and competing against other children from different schools. When we arrived at Mark Hall, a quick demonstration was shown to the children which was shortly followed by us having our first game. For most of the children, it was their first time ever playing Boccia, but watching them play you would not be able to tell. They were bowling their balls perfectly, knocking the oppositions balls out of the way, and scoring lots of points for our school. We won many games but still had our fair share of tough matches. Regardless, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and felt proud after winning lots of games. They also enjoyed spending the morning out of school but we will ignore that one! Well done Cooks Spinney, you are all amazing!!!
