Futsal Competition Friday 5th January 2024

Mr Defoe, 12 Jan 2024

On the 5th January, ten year 6 boys were asked to represent Cooks Spinney in a Futsal competition. The event was supposed to be held at Mark Hall, however, the plans had to be changed which resulted in the event being held at Church Langley Primary school on their all weather Astro pitch. Before we left, the boys put on their Cooks Spinney football jerseys and discussed tactics and positions. Once we arrived, the boys got to see the other schools and who they were up against. Although there were many schools, some of which would be tough competition, that did not stop our students from warming up and being excited for the upcoming matches. Following our warm up, all of the rules and expectations were explained and the schedule for the morning was given to us. From the first game to the last, all of the Cooks Spinney boys were consistent in performing amazingly! They displayed perfect teamwork and sportsmanship and honestly we could not be more proud. Even though we were all freezing, everybody kept their spirits high and had smiles throughout. Well done Cooks Spinney, once again making us proud.
