Year 3 & 4 Tag rugby competition on Friday 26th February
Last Friday, 15 year three and four students were invited to represent Cooks Spinney in the Tag rugby competition which was held at the Harlow rugby club. All of the children were really happy to be spending the whole morning competing against other schools and taking part in the event. When we arrived at the rugby club, all of the children began warming up and practicing before the matches began. Once we were all warmed up, all of the schools were asked to sit down to go over the rules and expectations. Following this, the event was underway and the matches had begun. The first match for our team was very tough, but it gave the children the knowledge and experience they needed to complete the next games. In their second game, Cooks Spinney immediately scored a try and could not be more happy. They continued to score until the match was over, to secure the win! The last game was again, very tough but also very competitive. It was back and fourth until the end, with the opposition just getting the win. Overall, Cooks Spinney scored some amazing tries, made some amazing tackles and displayed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork. They really did make their school proud. Well done Cooks Spinney!!!
