Oreinteering

On the 18th of October 2023 Dean Valley Community Primary School Y5 and Y6 participated in an orienteering activity on the playground.

In the task there was a variety of colored cones with numbers on that we had to go round in pairs. We had a map of the coned area and a sheet of paper with the route we had to follow. It was a challenge because the wind was blowing all the cones away making it difficult for us to complete the job. In order to win you had to have the quickest time finishing all six of the tasks. We went outside in our house groups and all in all it was a very fun activity for both years!
