Ellis Shield 1st Round: Edge Hill Sixes v Victoria @ Edge Hill - 27th February 2019

The Sixes faced Victoria in the 1st round of the Ellis Shield competition after school today.

Edge Hill Sixes (Harrison, Jack So, Omarion) 3-0 Victoria

The team put in a strong performance by scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet against a counter-attacking Victoria side. In the first half, Harrison put the team in front after being brought down in front of the Victoria goal. It could have been deemed a foul on him but to his credit he got up quickly to slot the ball past the goalkeeper. He was also involved in the next goal after surging forward to set up Jack on the left. The team's third goal came from a set piece after a corner hit a defender then landed at Omarion's feet for him to calmly put away. Victoria were quick to get forward and threaten at the other end, but both Edge Hill goalkeepers, Josh and Harry, were on form and got their bodies in the path of the ball every time.
