Winners and 3rd Place - UDO IT! Dance National Qualifiers @ Fenton Manor - Wednesday 27th March 2019.

Today, 13 of our girls attended our first ever dance competition which was held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in the UDO IT! National Dance Finals. Children from year 3 to year 11 competed in a variety of categories within their own age groups.

Our girls from year 5  (Dancing Diamonds) competed in the ‘All Styles’ category against 4 other groups and performed a contemporary dance routine - they were the first group of the day and opened the competition. The year 4 girls (Illumination) competed in the ‘Street Dance’ category against 5 other groups. 

Throughout the day, the girls completed a number of challenges set by the host: photo with the judges, handshake with someone new, triangle challenge and a rehearsal boomerang.

Dancing Diamonds were awarded 1st place in their category and Illumination were awarded 3rd place in their category. Both teams will now advance to the Nationals in June which is an outstanding achievement. Well done to all involved.
