Hermitage finish runners-up in ESFA Football League

On the 11th of November Hermitage Y5/6 Boys Football Team played at Spurcroft in the ESFA 7-a-side Football League.  The team:  Alfie Tucker, Fin Smith, Bradley Burgess, Finlay Corcoran, Oscar Marshall, Evan Oram, Callum Dallimore and Theo Wren played some excellent football against Whitelands who we drew 0-0, Springfield 1-1, Chieveley who we beat 4-0, Spurcroft was another 1-1 draw.  Hermitage ended up with 8 points and the winners, Springfield just pipped us with 9 points.  Well done to all the players for their fantastic football and particularly to Alfie who, as the goalkeeper, was sometimes stood in a very deep puddle on the goal line!
