Silver Medals prove that Honeywell has the Second Best Netball Team in Wandsworth.....

No mean feat really for these 8 players who tried their very best today, but the magic they've delivered on court in previous matches, just didn't quite come to life, and The Roche took full advantage of that (although to be fair, we definitely rattled them in the first quarter) with a 0-2 score showcasing the strength of Honeywell's defence.

All of our Yr 6's were desperate to claim gold, but in all honesty, I think that added to the pressure they put themselves under, and they couldn't quite translate all of their excellent interceptions into solid, safe passes directed into their team mates hands.  What was pleasing to see, is that even with Honeywell's errors, our players know how to play this game, and reacted quickly to the umpires' whistles trying hard to turn an advantage into a goal.

Our last quarter was our strongest, as back in our favoured positions, we managed to score 1 goal.  The Roche won, and go on to represent Wandsworth at the London Youth Games.

We will rest tomorrow morning, so no training before school, we will train on Friday, and will let the squad know timings during the week.
