Y3/4 B-C Tournament

Monday 16th October 2023

On Monday 16th October, 20 Year 3 and 4 pupils went to take part in a Football tournament at St. Georges Park Graves. 

For many of the pupils attending it was their first time representing the school in a sporting competition as well as playing organised football as they don't play for teams outside of school.

The teams were split into HBJ 1 & HBJ 2 and games were 7 minutes long meaning there was no half time.

For the first round of 3 games HBJ 1 played on pitch 5 whilst HBJ 2 played on pitch 6. 

Both teams won their respective groups (6 groups in total) on pitch 5 & 6  - with HBJ 1 winning 2 and drawing 1 and HBj 2 winning all their 3 games  - and were put into the same pool (Pool 1 out of 4) for the final group games (along with Carfield and Woodseats)

HBJ 1 finished 1st in Pool 1

HBJ 2 finished 4th in Pool 1

A great morning for all with a lot of support from parents and for each other. Captains Olive and Isaac R were great and Rex & Edwyn finished up as top scorers for HBJ 1 & 2 respectively.
