Dodgeball Festival (19/03/19)

Mr Neaves, 19 Mar 2019

On Tuesday 19th March, we took a group of Year 6s down to the Westgate Centre for a dodgeball festival and tournament.

Dodgeball Festival (19/03/19)

After a quick introduction, the children were spilt in to 4 mixed school teams and taught some skills and drills to help them learn how to play the game. After 45 minutes of running, dodging, throwing the ball and being struck with it, they were ready to get back in to their school teams and play the game.

Our first game was against Tangmere. At the end of the game, we had one player left, to their three, so we lost.

Our next was against Sidlesham on court 6. They demolished us, actually taking one of our players and taking him out of action for part of the game.

Boxgrove 2 were next. They quickly beat us in the first game.

Next up, Lavant, who also beat us, despite a valiant attempt by Hannah to hold on to the game.

Our last game was against Singleton, and we finally won a game!
