Y5/6 ESFA cup ‘kicks off’ our sporting calendar
Ten of our Y5/6 boys took part in the first sport event of the new academic year at Lowedges on Monday evening.
We faced a strong Woodseats outfit in our first game. Although we had some opportunities to score, they picked holes in our defence to run out 5-0 winners.
This did not deter our players in the second game against Carfield, as they showed great self-belief and resilience to bounce back. We were much more tenacious in our defending but failed to convert several chances, eventually losing 2-1.
The boys should be proud of their efforts and made their supporting spectators very proud. We now look forward to our girls tournament next week!
Lowedges Junior Academy
Lowedges Junior Academy is a primary school for children from ages 3 to 11, going from Nursery up to Year 6. We are situated in the south part of Sheffield and we are part of the Aston Community Education Trust (ACET).
