Sportshall Athletics Competition @ Sydney Russell Secondary School
Northbury Primary School ended up first place out of 10 schools in the 3rd of 3 heats!!
Children in Year 5/6 from Northbury Primary School travelled to Sydney Russell to take part in the Sportshall Athletics Borough Competition!!
Some tough opposition in our heat with the likes of Monteagle, George Carey and Richard Alibon ever present!
The children took part in some track events and some field events trying to gain the best scores they could to give Northbury as many points as possible. 1+1 relay, 2+2 relay, 4 x 1 relay, 6 Lap Paarlauf, Obstacle Relay and Under/Over relay were the track events. Standing long jump, Standing triple jump, Chest push, Soft javelin, Vertical jump and Speed Bounce were the field events.
Northbury ended up winning their heat on the day but ended up 4th place overall in the Borough JUST missing out on the medals!!
A drastic improvement from last year and a huge thanks to Mr Izzy and Mr Ade for their support!!
