Year 3 Football Festival

On Monday 16th December 2019, eight boys participated in a Year 3 football festival in the grounds of Kew AFC. The festival consisted of a number of schools taking part in eight-minute matches, with the emphasis on having fun and showcasing attacking play.

O.L.I. certainly didn’t disappoint, as so many of the boys scored goals with all team members contributing to a very successful performance. O.L.I. were unbeaten throughout the festival playing with energy, skill and determination.

The boys enjoyed representing the school at this event-this is highlighted below:

Maku: ‘I liked it because my team was scoring lots of goals.’

Casey: ‘I enjoyed it and scored an amazing goal.’

Jai: ‘I enjoyed winning my games.’

Luca: ‘I liked it because I like playing football and I loved playing for the school.’

Joshua: ‘I liked it because I scored a great goal from the halfway line.’

Oisin: ‘I liked it because everybody played well.’

Zayn: ‘I enjoyed playing in defence and attack. The tournament was good.’

Miles: ‘I liked it because my team was properly taking part.’

The boys should be very proud of their performances. We would like to thank the parents/carers who provided support in travelling to the venue and also during the course of the event. Finally, we would like to thank Mr Richards who kindly performed managerial duties at this festival.
