#LetGirlsPlay @ Breck Primary School

Mr Hesketh, 8 Mar 2024

Today is not just International Women's Day but also the Football Association's #LetGirlsPlay Day.

#LetGirlsPlay @ Breck Primary School

#LetGirlsPlay is an FA initiative aimed at getting more girls involved in playing football. Today schools and organisations across the country pledged to run at least one session that was devoted to Girls' Football.

Here at Breck,  girls from Year 5 and Year 6 completed a session of games and drills during our school lunchbreak. Most of those involved had played before but for one or two this was their first football session, outside of the PE curriculum.

We have more girls involved in after-school football (Y3-6) than ever before , so if you're reading this and fancy a go then please let us know.
