Pupil success at North East Karate Open
Amelie and Jacob competed at the North East Karate Open in Hartlepool.
Two Breck pupils shone at last weekend's North East Karate Open.
Jacob scooped a bronze in the pairs kata and as bronze in the team event. Amelie claimed a gold medal in the individual competition.
''You have to perform a set of moves. It's like fighting but without hitting anyone, '' explained Amelie. ''I was competing against much older children in the 10-13 year olds age group. I'm quite surprised that I won.''
