International Women’s Day #LetGirlsPlay

River Y4, 18 Mar 2023

For International Women's Day our school took part in the #LetGirlsPlay campaign to get more girls excited about playing football. I was asked to be one of the leaders.

International Women’s Day #LetGirlsPlay

In today's PE afternoon all of the girls in the school did four activities which included dribbling a football through cones and scoring in the goal, kicking large footballs into gates, shooting practise by running around the outside of a circle of cones and scoring in goals.

The best bit was supporting and helping the KS1 children because we got to tell the older siblings. The worst part was trying to get people to take turns.
