Start of the 'Daily Mile'

Students at St. John's have been looking at how to be more active in the school day

Start of the 'Daily Mile'

St. John's has started the year off looking at how to be more active in every class. One idea was to do a 15 minute walk/run three times a week. This has been a great success so far with some classes completing over 80 miles in one week (Year 5)!

Most children should complete a mile in 15 minutes. If they can't maybe see if someone can take them out every day for 15 minutes to help.

Some classes (year 2) have also been using movement in the classroom to learn times tables and what a verb is.  Click here to try at home.

We are all working hard at being more active so that we can be healthier and happier.
