DOUBLE UP FOR ST. PETER'S

Well, what a successful day the boys and girls football teams had today at the annual McAuley Cup Competition. Having won both of their leagues, they each progressed into their semi finals.

The boys met the only team to beat them in the league, but secured a well deserved  1-0 win. The girls however won more comfortably and set up a final against the only team to beat them!

In a close final score wise, of which they dominated, the girls were awarded a penalty, which was calmly converted by Sofia for a 1-0 win. This was her 15th goal of the tournament.

The boys dominated their game also, but had to go to penalties. Having scored our first and second, and the opponents first being saved, it was down to Harry to pull off an amazing save to his left, pushing the ball onto the post and away for a 2-0 win on penalties.

All I can say, is that each and everyone of the players were outstanding and a credit the school. A huge well done.
