Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation Dynamos Tournament
A squad of eight children headed to Tewkesbury Cricket Club alongside Mrs. Assheton to participate in Tirlebrook’s first-ever Dynamos cricket tournament, organised by the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation. With updated rules from the long-established kwik-cricket format, including batting and bowling for longer and hitting from the batting tee for a free hit if a no ball or wide was bowled, it was a new experience for everyone. Games took approximately 50 minutes and the team performed admirably in both of their matches, and despite losing to both Bishop’s Cleeve Primary Academy and Temple Guiting, their individual and team performances improved as the competition progressed. The children represented Tirlebrook excellently and should be proud of trying something new. Well done!
