Inter-house competition

KS2 Inter-House Competition

Y3 and Y5 thoroughly enjoyed the second round of their Inter-House competitions during the week before half term. Y3 participated in their netball competition while Y5 took part in a football tournament. I was delighted to see Maple Class’s netball skills. Many children managed to score goals and therefore lots of points for their house team and the passing and movement on display was really impressive. All of the children demonstrated a high level of determination and resilience and there was a great balance of fun and competitiveness amongst them. All of the children played extremely well, especially so as they had never previously played the game competitively. The Y5s really enjoyed their time competing in the football round of their house competitions. Mr.Crouch was extremely impressed with their attitudes, resilience and performance. Each house worked together excellently, demonstrating all of the School Games values superbly! The results for this round will be added to those scored in the first round, and when all of the junior classes have competed in all four events, their points will be collated to be able to award a winning house for each sport: football, netball, hockey and tag rugby. We still have two rounds to go, so at this point, any house could be the winners! In this round, congratulations to Beauchamp for winning the Y3 netball competition and to Montague for winning the Y5 football house event. Well done to all of the children for their efforts and positive attitudes and thank you to Mr.Crouch for his support.
