Quad Kids whole class

Quadkids Success!

Silver Birch Class headed over to Tewkesbury School on the final day of the half term to compete in the Tewkesbury Quadkids Athletics competition. Three teams, accompanied by Ms. Brown, Mrs. Assheton and Mr. Lockley, took part in four scoring events –the 50m sprint, 400m dash, vortex throw and standing long jump –and one final fun relay. Everyone had a really enjoyable time and most importantly, tried their very best at everything. School Games values bands were awarded to Louie B, Paris B and Billy G for Self Belief and to Joshua H, Emily H and Hayden M for Determination. When the results were calculated, one of Tirlebrook’s teams achieved the runners-up position and were awarded with silver medals, just missing out on top spot by a few points to Bishop’s Cleeve Primary Academy. However, all of the children were ‘winners’ thanks to their brilliant attitudes and fantastic effort. Thanks to the staff for all their hard work and well done Y4 –you were simply quad-tastic!
