Year 3 Tri-Golf Superstars!
Double medals for Year 3!
A spectacular day at Sherdons Golf Centre pitching and putting like pros! A huge well done to all of our Y3 children who represented our school brilliantly at the Tri-Golf Festival at Sherdons. And out of our three teams, two came home with 1st and 2nd place medals from this competition that featured six school teams altogether. All three groups were extremely good and tried their hardest while playing, an attribute that is more important than any feeling a medal can bring. Each child took part in 8 mini games that required a multitude of skills. The different games included chipping the ball over cones, putting through the cones and using all of their skills in unison to aim and measure distance, to name but a few. Hopefully this day has inspired a few of the children to start their own golf journey and enjoy what is such a beautiful game. The event was brilliantly organized and each child should be very proud of their performance and teamwork skills in each of their groups. I was extremely proud of each child’s attitude at the club and their resilience and determination to try something new! Keep that attitude and there will be no limit to future sporting success.
