Y4 Boys Football Team Come 2nd In Rotherham Primary School Finals Day

The Y4 Boys Football Team just fall short in the final of the Rotherham Primary School Cup.

The Y4 Boys Football Team travelled to Clifton for the School Games Rotherham Primary School Football Finals Day. The boys qualified for the finals day prior to this in a tournament at Wickersely. 

They played in the group stage playing all 4 teams who qualified for finals day and couldn't seem to find the back of the net. We drew 2 games and lost 1, putting us bottom of the table. This meant that we had to play 1st position team Aston Hall in the semi final. 

The lads pulled their socks up and really dug in to snatch the lead 1-0. This was a brilliant performance and everyone played really well. Following this, we then played a team that we drew to in the final. After a long wait and nerves building we ended up losing 2-0 and falling short for the trophy. 

In conclusion this is a outstanding effort from the Y4 squad, as this means that they have come 2nd out of around 130 primary schools in the whole of Rotherham.
