KS 1 Multi Skills Festival

Mr Woodhouse, 4 Dec 2017

Our fantastic Sports Leaders organised the first Stenbury Federation Key Stage 1 Multi Skills Festival on Tuesday 21st November.

KS 1 Multi Skills Festival

On Tuesday 21st November Wroxall Primary School Sports Leaders organised a Multi Skills event for some of the year 1 children from Godshill, Chillerton and Rookley and Wroxall Primary Schools. Each school had a team of six children from year one who took part in a number of activities, there was; skittles, target throwing, high stepper challenge, space hoppers and obstacle relays.

All the activities were organised and run by a team of Sports Leaders from Wroxall Primary School, who were fantastic at explaining the games and encouraging the little ones throughout the afternoon.

The aim of the event was to give the opportunity for children from Key Stage 1 to enjoy taking part in sporting activities and for them to have fun meeting children from other schools.

Mr Woodhouse PE leader at Wroxall and Godshill said “all the sports leaders were a credit to Wroxall, they were brilliantly organised and arranged a great event.”

As part of the Stenbury Federation, we at Wroxall share in the vision for PE and Sport ‘to develop children into physically literate, active and healthy young people’. We have three main aims: - To provide a positive experience in a safe , enjoyable and encouraging environment. - To develop the fundamental movement skills and knowledge for a lifetime love of being fit and healthy. - To ensure the children are able to be confident, balanced and coordinated young people whether sporty or not.
