Impact Awards: 2023/24 Autumn term shortlist announced!

The shortlist for the 2023/24 Autumn term Impact Awards is here!

The School Games Impact Awards is designed to celebrate those making a positive difference in young people’s lives, inspiring others to do the same.

Once again, we received a range of fantastic entries from across the network - schools, SGOs, Active Partnerships, and NGBs all got involved! Thank you to each and every one of you who entered; each entry showcases the amazing work you carry out and demonstrates the impact you have on young people.

The shortlist for each category is as follows:

Engaging Schools

  • Autumn term 2023: Alexandra Repton (Stourport) and Tracey Freer (Chadsgrove)

Engaging Stakeholders

  • Autumn term 2023: Hannah Newell (Blackpool)

Personal Development and Youth Engagement

  • Autumn term 2023: Nick Gillard (Exeter)

Positive Experiences for Targeted Young People

  • Autumn term 2023: Craig Vickers and Jessica Simons (Greater Manchester)

School Innovation and Impact

  • Autumn term 2023: Steve Wilkinson and Berwick Academy (Berwick-upon-Tweed)

Secondary School Engagement and Transition

  • Autumn term 2023: Sharon Walls and Cathy Robinson (Lowton / Wigan)

Young Person Impact

  • Autumn term 2023: Shane German (North Somerset)

Each shortlisted entry will have an accompanying mini case study published shortly, which you will be able to read via the Impact Awards Case Studies page. These case studies will offer inspiration on how you can replicate the fantastic impact achieved in your own work within the School Games.
