Continuous relay is an exciting athletics event that is differentiated by offering pupils different distances to run. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition and personal challenge
  • Including all pupils: Ideas for differentiation included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for a relay event, ideally using a 400m track 
  • Equipment: Cones, bibs, batons or beanbag
