Activity details

Skittle bowl is a fun challenge that requires players to roll a ball aimed at skittles, developing accuracy to apply to the game of bowls. 

  • Number of participants: Individual 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through individual target practice 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, Leader, official 
  • Space: Indoors or outdoors. Ensure the space is suitably sized, with a smooth surface to roll a ball 
  • Equipment: Balls (Eg tennis balls) tape, cones and skittles or shuttlecocks to act as 'skittles'
