Activity details

This creative activity is all about acting out a sporting event or achievement using the power of movement. Other pupils then work out what the actions show before swapping over. This activity develop s creativity, non-verbal communication and refinement of movements. This activity works well to support English lessons as includes great speaking & listening opportunities and vocabulary development. too. 

  • Number of participants: Individuals/pairs/groups
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil’s activity levels through a range of different fundamental movement skills and movements
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included.
  • Pupil roles: Participant 
  • Space: Indoors/Outdoors. Ensure there is enough space for pupils to practise and act out their sporting events and achievements 
  • Equipment: Newspapers, books, images to stimulate ideas, music, and a variety of equipment to help pupils create their story.
