Activity details

Handball in 5 minutes is a fun, fast and easy introduction to attack and defence based handball games. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition and application of tactics 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader, official 
  • Space: Indoors. Ensure the space is suitable for handball, an ideal court could be a 5 aside-football or hockey pitch or netball court where the 'D' can be used 
  • Equipment: Size 0 handball or similar, two goals or tape on the wall and bibs
