Activity details
This is an exciting activity that pupils will enjoy setting up and playing. Using string/rope weaved around a pathway to follow, pupils wear blindfolds and navigate their way around the route. This can be played in pairs with one guiding the other or as a team following each other or as individuals- maybe play against the clock? This activity requires concentration and will develop decision making and perseverance as well as being great fun.
- Number of participants: Pair/Individual/Group
- Purpose of activity: Increase pupil’s travelling skills, decision making and perseverance.
- Including all pupils: STEP framework included.
- Pupil roles: Participant.
- Space: Indoors/Outdoors. Ensure there is sufficient space for pupils to travel safely while holding the string/rope and is away from other groups to avoid tripping over or running into it.
- Equipment: rope/string, blindfolds, obstacles to weave rope/string through and around i.e. tunnels, benches, or any equipment or structures in the play space.
