Activity details

Throwing strikes is a softball target game to develop pupil throwing accuracy in a fun competitive challenge. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, leader 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for a target game, using a wall or fence would be ideal 
  • Equipment: A rectangular target zone, softballs and a softball fielders glove if available
