Activity details

In Team Target, pupils play as a team to pass the bean bag to each other-no running with the bean bag- down the marked out court until they reach their throw line, where they aim at the target on the wall (chalked or paper target). The other team work hard to intercept the bean bag and pass it to each other until it reaches to their own throw line where they can aim at their target. Great for teamwork, communication and throwing and catching skills too!

  • Number of participants: Group
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through a pacey team game, using throwing and catching and plenty of teamwork to get the bean bag to the throwing line where it is thrown at the wall target.
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included.
  • Pupil roles: Participant
  • Space: Indoors/Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for the number of players and is marked out with cones or markers. The wall targets needs to be safely secured to a wall.
  • Equipment: Target (chalk or paper target), variety of lights balls, bean bags, koosh balls
