Activity details

Throwmania is a great activity for practising controlled throwing in limited space. Creating channels of varying widths with markers and forming a range of targets to throw into, onto and through. Pupils can alter the distance from the targets to make the activity more or less challenging.

  • Number of participants: Group/pair/individual 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through a simple target activity using a variety of different targets to throw into, onto and through. 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included. 
  • Pupil roles: Participant.
  • Space: Indoors/Outdoors.Ensure there’s enough space between the channels and the targets. ·       
  • Equipment: A variety of targets and throwing objects i.e. Hoops, ropes, Frisbee, bell balls, goalball, balloon ball, koosh ball.
