MK South School Sports Partnership

The Milton Keynes Schools Sport Partnership work with and support the school staff and pupils within the primary and secondary schools of Milton Keynes, to achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in schools.

Our Vision: 

To support schools in educating all pupils to be physically literate and provide them with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary for a lifelong healthy lifestyle and participation in physical activity and sport. 

 Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and recent government requirements our events will currently be run virtually. We will update this as further guidance is received.

Cross Country 

Please see in the added files section the resources for the Cross Country . There is also a ranking sheet for your scores.   These are submitted by clicking the Google form.

Quad kids (Athletics ) Yr 3/4

Please see in the Added files section the resources for the Quad Kids. Quad kids is an athletics type event where the young people complete 4 activities. The times and distances are added together to have an overall score. These are submitted by clicking the Google form.

Tennis Year 3/4 

Please find attached the activities for the Yr 3/4 Tennis festival. The aim is for all children to challenge themselves to get their own personal best score. The resources for teacher and PE Coordinators is loaded  in the document section opposite.

This weeks Tennis festival contains 5 skills to be completed. The aim is for all children to challenge themselves to get their own personal best score. Schools will be awarded for the top team in each year group, plus an overall school winner across all eligible year groups. In addition we will be running a league table for schools based on participation numbers as a percentage of numbers on roll, awarding an Autumn, Spring and Summer winner!

MK Schools physical activity challenge……working together to Stay Active at home!

Launched for European City of Sport year.

As part of Milton Keynes’ year as European City of Sport for 2020, schools across MK supported by the School Games Organisers, have collectively launched a virtual physical activity challenge.

The challenge is connected to a wider piece of work by Milton Keynes Council, after it launched the #MK20in20 ‘at home’ campaign to encourage people to stay active.  MKC launched the campaign on Monday with help from Olympic medalist Gail Emms.

School Games National Updates: 

NGB Resources

Youth Sport Trust in partnership with National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) have started to release a set of activities and challenges designed to support both the School Games network and families across the country.

The aim has been to produce national content to sit alongside the great work we have already seen locally to keep young people active during the national lockdown. These will include a variety of primary and secondary activity cards, which will be updated on a daily basis and free for all to access. The first four cards produced by Boccia England, British Blind Sport, England Hockey and Swim England today. These can be accessed here:  https://www.yourschoolgames.com/taking-part/our-sports/

School Games Active Championships - ToPYa App
