Activity details

Dodge Start is a group-based dodgeball activity that aims to improve the heath, social, emotional, and mental health of school children, through a simple game format. The social and fun format, allows for a full class (30 pupils) to be active before the school day starts. Dodge Start requires open space such as the school playground or school field with a centre line marked by throw down lines or cones, 8 foam dodgeballs, and a stopwatch.

Dodge Start can be run with simple knowledge of the rules of dodgeball, and is best run by a teacher or young leaders. Dodge Start is a great way to get school children active before the school day begins, whilst also providing them with a social and fun activity to engage with.
