Activity details

Rounders is a fun and inclusive striking and fielding game played between two teams that can be adapted to include all ability levels.

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, Leader, official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is suitable for a rounders pitch and includes a safety zone for pupils waiting to bat 
  • Equipment: Four posts and bases, rounders bats and a ball
