Sailing Indoors is based on a real sailing race where pupils with and without SEND compete by navigating around a fun sailing course. 

  • Number of Participants: Group 
  • Purpose of Activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included 
  • Pupil roles: Participant, Leader, Official 
  • Space: Indoors - Ensure the space is suitable for pupils to move around equipment making up sailing course sections 
  • Equipment: different coloured cones, rope, gym mats, chairs, benches
